Transfers to Guyana

We were at Hog Island This morning! 

it was a really wonderful P-Day activity! 

i really love liming at the beach whenever i get an opportunity to.. we are definitly Going to hog island When we come to see Grenada! 

 

but as for the Beaches i will no longer be able to Adore them. 

They dont have any beaches in Guyana 

So i guess ill have to Lime by the Stinky Rum Factory in Berbice. 

So yeah i am gettting moved to an area called Rose hall in Berbice Guyana. 

i leave early wednesday morning 6 am and get to Guyana at 2:30 carribean standard time (really most likely 4 or 5 haha) but yeah i am going to be sad to leave here! 

 

i was thinking its going to be unfortunate to leave such wonderful people and alot who were preparing for baptism! we have one planned for saturday coming! 

But i will wait for a picture from Elder Padilla. 

 

My new Companion is an Elder from wyoming named Elder Christianson. all i really know about him so far is that he is from the french side, just finished being a zone leader and he can Curl 200 pounds, oh and can bench 500 :0  

so we will be in guyana together and president said he will show me how to be District leader. so i am excited to work with him. 

 

Elder LEany told me that after the ap's came to visit and elder ferrin came with us he came back to get dropped off by the zone leader he told elder leany "Elder Pierson is a great missionary" 

i really enjoy Elder Ferrins company! 

 

But all was well this week!,  

Coolest experiance actually happened not to long ago. we went to teach this one lady we taught once when we contacted her.. 

oh a little background. we have been working on whats called a contract lesson, where you find out there concern and then commit them to baptism is through this gospel their concern is cured.. but we found her concern last time and it was "i Am really just looking for the right church for me to join."  

we taught her the Gospel and left a restoration tract when we first visited. When we came back she had read the restoration tract with her boyfriend and she prayed about it.  

She told us of a vision where she kept trying to leave church to go to a party and she couldnt find her way to the party. but the church kept being there. 

Her old path was suddenly Gone. 

But she woke up and talked with her boyfriend and when we talked with her she had come to the conclusion that the dream was from God to tell her this church is the true church! and she wants to join it. So she will start coming to church this sunday coming and get baptized once she gets married! Anyways that was most likely the Highlight! 

 

OH And if you remember  ME talking about Elder Jacobson.. The Friendly Giant. He is Elder Padilla's mother! o they are going to work miracles  here!

New companion

boy oh boy do i have some interesting things to tell you!

SOoo Let me first begin by kind of apologizing that i never told you but i havent really been able to hear out of my right ear for the past month and a half ish. So Elder Smith Sr being the doctor and all looked at it for me a couple weeks ago. He thought something was wrong with my ear drum, but managed to get me some ear drops that should help, now Me and Elder Leany were driving around St Georges most of Wednesday kind of waiting for our companions to arrive. So me still short of hearing asked elder Smith to look at it again. We got to his apartment after we picked up elder smith and Elder Padilla. And he looked at it again and pulled out some make shift tool made from a Wd 40 straw and a syringe . and flushed out my ear. (dont tell dad that works)( he might try to make one). I can hear now i am healed. So started off the week great! 

 

Then me and elder Padilla went out to work when we got back! and boy oh boy do i like working with Elder Padilla, He is a little bit quiet  in the lessons unless i tell him when he should speak, But he has absolutly no fear in contacting. He sees someone and just goes! Its awesome! he is a wonderful guy. He learned english in school before but is working on perfecting his grammer! so just now he will have it perfect! 

 

Now  we had a great week, met a members long distant cousin named "C". and taught her once, she is looking for a church.   so it should be great! she actually came this Sunday.

"KA"s bus isn't fixed but she is really progressing. she talked about how she wants to make a lot of changes and she is starting to really think about what her next step is. 

 

Ok now the story about church... Buckle up its a great one.

Ok so Sunday morning Me and Elder Padilla,Look around and see we have no bread, so thats no big usually, Bro odebenu brings it.

Now, This particular sabbath we had some weird torrential downpour going on, 

(another Tropical Wave) 

So brother james got there before it hit and he walked with our investigator "MH". And then Came the rain and after that only people with cars showed up again. But Brother Odebenu didnt show up till 15 mins after 10. so sacrament started late. And the sacrament table was all set up.   So we started promptly after his arrival. When sacrament rolled around it was me and elder padilla who were blessing the sacrament. When we lifted the cloth to our surprise there was no bread. So we quietly exited the building and ran downstairs and grabbed whatever we had that could potentially be used for sacrament. All we had was spicy Nacho Tortilla Chips....  So we had For Remembrance of the body of Christ Spicy Nacho Tortilla chips. Must say it was a stressful sunday but it all worked out. Weird experience also. 

 

but all is well.

Teaching is well!

Elder Padilla is going to be a fantastic missionary! he is a boss! 

Elder Aukusitino emailed me and said that he saw i begat another son haha so im happy to hear he is flourishing in his English skills!

No Hurricanes Here

Things in grenada are going well! We have had no hurricane damage, no hurricane at all for that matter. it must have passed high.   

I must say of all weather phenomena i miss the snow the most. but hey just now right! 

 

church in Grenville was interesting.. our Group leader was in the process of moving to gouyave so i think since he told the branch president he thought he was released or something.. .

soooo he didnt assign talks and he wasnt there this sunday. apparently losing a family of 4 people really cuts down your numbers as well. soo Elder leany conducted and we both gave talks again this week. I spoke on tithing. i think i had 30 mins to prepare and i had maybe 7 bullet points and 3 quotes and somehow i made it last for 20 minutes. :) so It was an interesting sunday. we had about 12 people at church.

so now we have lots of room for people to sit! "KA" didnt come and neither did "GA" but we are working on it. We have a couple Families we are working with so The attendace should go up soon. 

 

There is actually one really cool experiance i would like to share with you.

We had a referral from our branch mission leader Rodger. this ladys name is "EN". We went and we visited her and she seemed pretty interested, we taught her and her boyfriend and they felt the spirit. Now we scheduled to see them again but she got sick and they cancelled. so we called again a week later and got a meeting with "EN". Now when we went there she showed us all the research she had been doing, She found Mormon.Org and found answers to her questions. She Now feels Godly sorrow for Breaking the law of Chastity and really wants to get her life in line with the will of God. Her Boyfriend supports her and also agreed to be baptized. They have 4-5 children together and also have a Bus. They are fixing a part that broke about 2 weeks back, but once its fixed she says the whole family will come to church. She now wants to get married more than ever and we get to go back tonight to see how things in that was are shaping up. It was a great success i have seen this week.

OHh by the way in other news i did get my full transfer call and i am actually training again! his name is Elder Padilla and he is from The Philippines. So it is awesome!

Thanks for all the support you give me! and also thank you for the package. The hair clippers were sorely needed. They dont know how to cut "White People Hair" in the west indies so he messed up my head pretty bad haha.

Standing for Truth

All is well. we had a great meeting before the interviews. President Mehr and sister Mehr want us to become like little Captain moroni's standing for truth and  making sure others are motivated to work!

so its awesome!

On a hike on P-Day

Sunday was also a fantastic day. we had 3 investigators at church! "KA" came and she brought her son and  3-4 other kids! one who is 11 and an investigator and then the neighbor came too. she is brother james granddaughter. so it was good. we were missing one of our families at church or we would have had 20 at church. but we had 17 which is still great. We had plenty great teaching experiences, plenty more people committing to baptismal dates. now we just gotta help them work for it. One sad thing  is that our investigator "DN" who was supposed to get baptized this weekend didn't come to church so we have to push her date.

oh and im sure if you have looked at the photos by now you might be wondering where all the blood came from.....

Elder Pierson's wounds

 IT was nothing much just happened to flip over the handle bars of my bike and crash land onto the road haha. i rolled out if it real nice but still got some cuts. 

So what happened is we were flying probably going like 30 km/h maybe 35 and i was pedling hard. and my bike occasionally does this thing  where its gears jump or somthing and the pedal clicks and drops really fast. anyways that happened and my foot slipped off the pedal and it planted itself right in front of my pedal. so the pedal then hit my leg and the bike stopped but me on the other hand did not stop! :) but dont worry the bike is fine!

but it was a great week, "GA" is really progressing in her testimony of the restored gospel and she is wanting to get baptized as soon as she lives the law of chastity ( get married to her boyfriend of 10 yrs)

but all is well  im working hard and i love the work!

The Parable of the Cell Phone

so this week in grenada is fantastic! we had  lots of cool people to met in a shorter time period. 

 

since we are a group we dont show conference in our group so we all go down to the st georges branch to meet and watch! so it was awesome! 

i think that was the most full the bus has ever been coming down for church. we got to pack it vincy style! (4 people -3 seats) so it was great. 

 we even got some of our investigators to come! One is a lady named "KA", we have been working with "KA" for a long time! she is prettty cool, she believes that what we share is true but it has been hard to get her to act, like to come to church. but this sunday we got her to come to conference. she even brought her son. so it was cool to see her moving. both me and elder leany feel that this first step was the first of many about to happen. every time we go over to visit her her desire to get baptized increases. when we first met her and commited her to be baptized if she knew it  was true she said yes, but was a bit scared. now   she knows its true and is no longer scared of baptism. 

 

another who came to church is a lady named "GA", we have taught "GA" maybe 3 times now, and she reads the book of mormon so much when we arent there, for example we left her to read the introduction and when we returned she had read the introduction the testimonies of the 3 and the 8 witnesses and most of the prophet joseph smiths testimony. so she is great. she came to conference and brought her 3 children! so its great! most of our recent converts and less active members were there too actually! it was a great sunday!

conference itself was great tho. i really enjoyed the food between sessions and of it wasnt ice cream i guess the planned on bringing pizza! 

but as for my favourite conference talk its hard to say. i really enjoyed them all. one that really stands out is probably elder bednar, how helping somone feel the same joy and blessing that you felt from the gospel of christ really stood out to me! 

im going to review my notes again and make a more detailed list of things learned.

I have been thing alot about my use of parables this week tho, i was reading Jesus the Christ and i have found the power  and effectiveness of parables. however i have reason to change some of my parables to things that happen in the everyday carribean life. we learn from christs teaching that his parables were said in a way that the humble farmer fisherman or any other would think on the teaching while going through everyday life.

 One that i though  of actually came from elder leanys parable, baptism is like signing up for a phone contract. this contract last for only a short while. we sign up for a phone plan and we get service. we are baptized and we get the spirit. in order to keep signal on your phone you must renew. same with the spirit you must renew. the sacrament is that renewal. 

now my thought came while i was walking past a digicel store and they were advertizing  their wide range of coverage and it still had some spots where you would recieve no service. the same thing goes with the spirit. God has outlined that coverage map and we cannot leave the boundaries he has established if we want to be entitled to the spirit. he will not take it away from us. we lost it as we wander into areas we shouldnt go.

Success in Pearls

Gotta say i kinda miss watching football haha, we were by this man the other day we actually called into his house and when he opened the door to go out we could see his tv watching some nfl and it was glorious haha but other than that its been great!  

this week was a great week, every fast Sunday we take a bus to St Georges for church. the first sunday we got here we had 3 members on the bus and us missionaries making 5 people total. and this Sunday we had most of the members and 2 investigators. So we filled is up having 15 people there!  It was great! 

we are having a lot of success in a place called Pearls. most of the members are actually from there and we can always get some good fellowship around them and bring our investigators from there into it. so its great over there for sure. 

um as for "MH". she actually moved back into our area so she is not baptized yet we are still trying to help her understand the commandments. but its alright. 

We did a whole ton of finding this week and got a few new cool people to go and to teach. we just have to make sure we dont forget any of them.

I am really excited for conference!  i love to actually take notes now and not sleep ;) and yeah we get to go to every session of conference so we will miss out on a bit of the teaching on the weekend, but we get to be part of a delicious potluck between sessions on sunday, and a big ice cream thing between second session and priesthood session!. 

So all is  well in grenada. I got a hug from a drunk guy yesterday and listened to country while elder Leany talked to one lady. haha that was a funny story. i dont know if you have a restoration tract but on the picture with prophets i was talking to two drunk men and one went off on a rant about how the prophet writing looked like his friend haha. its was interesting. and i guess the one really liked talking to me  because he gave me a hug before we left .

I meet so many interesting people on my mission i love it haha! 

Anyways ill think about more cool things to tell you next week!

September 22

This has been a very interesting week. we had plenty interesting happenings. 

First off "MH" didnt get baptized this saturday, but most likely next week. she actually isnt taught by us anymore. In an effort to prepare for baptism she moved out of her boyfriends house. now she isnt actually from grenville area, so she has no family up here. but she moved in with family and is now in the st georges branch. So she went down there on sunday and brought a friend. :) but we are still excited for her baptism ! 

 

It was a great sunday however. the church was actually really full. inside the church we have about 19 seats for people to sit and we had 18 of them full so not much more room in that building!

But we had one lady come named sister barry. she hasnt been to a church in over a year (althouhg she is believes in christ very strongly. she said none of them talk of christ enough. But after church she said that she loved it and would come again:) yeah!

but it was really good! 

 

Highlight of the week i would probably say was going home teaching. yes i went home teaching! and guess what, Things i learned from my momma got taught ! it was all about being prepared, food storage and stuff. But it is really cool to see this home teaching initiative get started. when we got there the Elders quorum president was starting to really emphasize home teaching. Its cool to be there when it really started. 

This is the first island in my mission that is doing their home teaching!  

 

Oh and as far as "DN" goes we didnt see her at church, but we have to probably get her a ride. I guess her spine isnt all that good and she cant walk the mile or two to grenville for church. :/

and we havent gotten to see the lady with 8 kids again since the first time!

We did however see a lot of cool things happen this morning. we actually taught a lesson this morning and the lady was a boss. she is honestly searching for truth. 

And also we got a piano and a whiteboard for the church! 

our water is gone right now tho so i feel gross cause i couldn't shower this morning. haha but thats what happens when it rains in the carribean so it deh.

Our teaching pool is pretty small at the moment actually, we did a lot of weeding out and now  we have to find a lot more. we actually set a contacting goal of 50.

So we are going to do a lot more contacting and find those elect people again.!

We have to get a bus again for the next two sundays because of fast sunday and conference so it gonna be intersting

But all is well in grenville. 

Its crazy that i am at my year mark. i feel as tho i am actually still just barely out! so yeah its kinda weird haha.

But i love it! just this morning i bore my testimony and also stated that i would rather be doing nothing else with my time right now! so its true!

September 16

this week has been an interesting week with plenty of eventful happenings. 

so im not sure if you have heard but there is a disease going through the west indies right now it is called chikun gunya, or "the walking bent over" but its interesting.    when you get it you have a fever really bad joint pain, and also a rash. and it last for a while usually.    but guess what! your darlin son endured and recovered from this ting in 2 days, and it probably would have been quicker if i had stayed inside like elder smith asked me to :)    it was interesting !    made my wrists hurt quite bad. But 65% of all of grenada has it actually.    maybe more than that by now. but that was interesting  and it kind of killed some of our time! :/    but  am all better now! 

now to answer your question as to how the islands  are doing;  i would have to say very well. Grenada is and so was barbados yesterday.    yesterday was zone conference and St lucia, St.vincent, Grenada, and barbados met all together for a very special zone conference.    It was special because Elder Zivic of the 70 came and spoke to us!    it was very good!    plus i got to see all my friends i had been transfered away from! 

Ohh and i also got to see elder Pohl. from coutts. took a picture with him!

But it was fantastic!

Hmm about the people we are teaching i would say the best one we have contacted thus far would be a girl named "DN".    she is 18 i think but we contacted her sister and her on our way up a hill to teach "MH".    now we didnt have much time but they had all sorts of questions for us.    so we gave them a restoration tract and said we would be back in 30-40 mins.    when we came back they had read through the whole thing and wanted us to tell them even more about the Book of mormon.    it was awesome.    unfortunatly the one sister lives way far north so getting her to come to church would be near impossible,    since there is no buses that run on sunday.

They understood so clearly and wanted more.

The person we were going to see was a lady named "MH" . She should be getting baptized this saturday. :)

She is cool! she acts on everything that we teach her! she is awesome!

We are still searching for a family but we met some reeally cool ones. On lady has 8 kids and they want  to come to church so we  might just  double the congregation haha.

Oh ps they moved the baptismal goal up again this meeting. from 50 baptisms per month to 84 per month!

September 8

So its interesting that you bring up your sunday playlist! i was actually just recently thinking about how i miss waking up in the morning and coming upstairs to that! the thought came when i found a cd that a past missionary left behind. "elder wilsons p-day jams"  it had a lot of the songs from your playlist so it was nice. but we also had the music restriction changed again, so now the rule is only Reverent hymns. So its all apostate now haha.. but i can wait till home!

 But this week is good! its interesting how you always know right when i get my transfer call :)  but the call was good. i am staying on Grenada in Grenville with Elder Leany. Cool thing about the transfer call is... Elder bingham is coming to Grenada haha see i knew president mehr would realize he made a mistake is separating us! ;)

But this sunday was really good! Every fast Sunday we go to St Georges to the branch to meet, and two of our members got interviews to receive the Melchizedek priesthood. Plus it was weird to be back in a big group. there was between 160 and 200 people there! mainly because school started and all the medical students moved into the branch!  so it was big awesome and they are really pushing to get the home teaching going! people are actually really excited to start on this! its going to be awesome! many great things are going for the work! 

 

we have an awesome investigator named "MH", she came all the way to st georges  with us for church so she is dedicated. she is trying really hard to find a place so she can move out of her boyfriends house. The members in grenville are really trying to help and hook her up for a time. but she is cool! i showed her the nice ocean spot where they baptize in grand anse and she wants to be baptized there! so all is well and good!

We have a few more people we are working with but a lot of our work is coming as we find those whom the lord has prepared! they are out there we just have to find them!

anyways this is going to be another good transfer! i get to burn a shirt this transfer too! :0 Crazy!

Grenada is hot and sunshiney! like always haha. 

um its going really good here.  

oh and sorry for not writing yesterday, we were out most of the day on a little island  called hog island that is close to Grenada. so we got home just after our email shop closed!  

As for people at church , unfortunately we had no investigators. all that promised they would come had something come up. :( 

and we also had not all our members show up, so we had only 15 people there! 

but i gave another talk! on the power of the priesthood.  it was alright, i didnt prepare as much as i should have and i ended up having 20 minutes to fill.  

 

Church and teaching is going real well. members are really getting excited and we have found some great people to teach.  

 

This transfer has flown by! its weird to think the next time i wil write i will have gotten my transfer call! 

 

But I gotta get going!

On Hog Island

August 25

Grenada is Hot hot hot... like crazy, the sun has been beating down upon us. and both me and elder leany got burnt burnt burnt :) i took a picture  of the burn, well at least i took a picture of the naasty watch tan haha. its cool. 

Elder Leany cut his hair shorter so his head was kinda exposed i guess. but long story short it reminded me a lot of home to hear someone talk about how their head is burnt and sore ;) good old dad :)  

 

But this week has been really good. i have actually been thinking about that whole music topic as well, this week elder leany shared a talk with me about becoming refined in our thoughts and actions. its by Douglas a Callister. but its really good . its alot to think about ! 

 

Church was really good ish. its weird being in such a small group and doing alot of the things. we didnt give talks but we taught gospel principles. It was interesting, i think some people might have been a tad vexed about it. they usually have a gospel Doctrine class but when no one had prepared to teach we decided to teach the principles. WE have been talking and its a bit silly to teach Gospel doctrine over principles to a group of members who have been only members for less than 2 years. plus all the investigators. But it was alright. 

 

There was two really good talks. best one was on honesty.

But we had three investigators at church. one was a lady named "MH". and she is a boss! so cool. we met her a while ago and she has just been so prepared. she came to church and loved it! her baptismal date is for the 20th of September! 

This week has been good. as we have been blanking the area, we had basically no teaching pool. so we have been cycling through   people really fast, and its starting to pay off , we  have a solid progressive teaching pool now! lots of fun!

Teaching with elder leany is different than it has been with most of my other companions, we try to incorporate a lot of parables. in the week i thought of a cool one. kinda mashed two different thoughts into one and it actually worked! 

 

 Life is like a corn maze. We are running through this maze trying to find our way through. there are little riddles along the way at random corners to help us along. now making it through this maze when we have list to all the answers would be pretty easy. but to make things difficult we only have answers to half of the questions, and some of these answers we have are incomplete or a little wrong. and not every turn is there a riddle to helps know which way to turn. now, God is the creator of this maze. And he wants us to make it through. so in 1820 God Put a man on a tower in the middle, he also added the rest of the answers to the riddles and made clear the answers to the confusing answers. we now have a full list of answers to make the right turns and a man on a tower to direct us on the corners when the riddles arent there. So life is like a corn maze and now we can make it through with ease. isnt the restored gospel great! :)

Anyways life is good, The mission is fun, we are building some heavy weights out of buckets, mud,cement, water and a pole that sister francis gave us! all so we can workout with in the morning.

Things are great in Grenada

This week has been pretty cool. short week but one full of miracles and great events. 

 As you know me and Elder Leany have set some really high goals and expectations of ourselves. we want to see the group grow even to the point of doubling and turning into a branch. we talked a lot on how we can do that. and the answer we came up with was to find families who are prepared for baptism. now that is easier said than done haha. but we have been really looking for them. On wednesday we decided to do a 12 hour fast for the purpose of finding a family that will get baptised. Now, We have from that point on been finding a lot of families. some arent really as prepared as others, and some there are only a few of the family who will be progressive, but the amount of groups we are teaching has risen drastically.  

 

Also we have been working with all the part member families in the area. There have been lots of referrals given from the members and we are trying to get in touch with them so we can teach.

Things are going great in grenada, i love it! 

 

I am learning Plenty here, one thing i never really gave much thought to while i was at home was the fact that we have the Book of Mormon. in my mind i thought it was just normal, like everyone had or knew about the book. But the more i explain to people what it is the more i think how amazing it is that God has revealed this book to the world, and that it is th evidence or proof of every single thing we say. i think that is really what helps missionary work move along is that book. Recently it has   been given as a focus to the mission and many blessing have been promised as we use it in contacting teaching and all other aspects in the mission. 

People have some really mixed up conceptions of the Book of Mormon and its great to help them understand it. 

 

This Sunday was pretty alright, its really hard to get people to come to church tho, we had no investigators there this Sunday even tho we committed so many people to come, but yes im glad you saw the picture of the sign, we actually put that up this Sunday, me and Elder Leany are working to bring the church out of obscurity. even just that Sunday we had plenty people studying the sign wondering what it was. so its good!  

 

But Funny thing was this week a really drunk kinda old ish lady kissed me hand and told me i look like a girl haha, we met her daughter (who is a really good investigator) and her mom came up while we were talking to her and invited us into her home to teach, so we hope we can help this lady out of the destructive life of alcoholism. Other than People usually say that i look like a movie star. not to sure which one, back in st Vincent i look like a guy in dawn of the planet of the apes. i think its my hair, when i grow it out i get people guessing im 26 and a movie star, when i cut it short they guess 16 and some think i am a girl ... so im gonna keep it longer :) 

 

Oh and the hike was really great, we were actually carrying cocoa trees up into the mountain to one of the st george members farm. he is planting cocoa becuase it is a cash crop and he is trying to make some money so when his kids get older they can go on missions, so i was more than happy to help. plus while we were walking down i was with elder ramdhanie and roger and we saw a good looking cocoa pod on a tree and so roger climbed it and we ate some delicious cocoa.

but it didnt taste like chocolate, i guess you get that taste when you dry pit the seed and crush those, but it tastes really good. Oh by the way when i get home i am going to build a big green house so i can plant all these trees and plants :) but  we usually try to do a zone service project on the island once a week. so its really good.

Carnival in Grenada

 

Got to enjoy another carnival season locked up and hiding from the sin! so it was interesting. but we are enjoying our time here! 

 

 The group is really cool! We had about 19 people at church this sunday and it was really full! i got to give a talk actually . i got to speak on patriarchal blessings.  it was really cool! so i am emailing on wednesday because of the carnival! so it is realy fun! 

 

I love grenada.  

But i really enjoy about hearing all from home! it really amazing to hear of the miracles that are happening!  

 

WE are teaching alot of cool people! although there are few members we are working alot with them to progress the area, and they are rather excited to help in the work. Everyone has given a couple people to go and to see and those who havent have offered there homes for house meetings. so we are going to do plenty baptizing here. our goal is to have 3 baptisms before this transfer is over. and we want to grow the group from about 20 to about 35-40 before january. So we have a ton of work! wish us luck! 

 

But really with the power of the spirit and the influesnce it has people will flock to join. And interesting thing we have been doing at the promised blessing of President mehr is contacting with the Book Of Mormon. and we are seeing so much success. President Mehr Promised that if we would contact with the book of mormon that we would see our baptisms double! Things are going really well and the mission in moving forward with great leaps and bounds

Grenada

so i am here on another different caribbean Island, and life is pretty fun. 

 

So first off information about my area, Well My companion is Elder Leany, My old zone leader. And we are Blanking which mean we are replacing two missionaries who were there before. but one got sick and went home to Canada, and the other went to Guyana. The one who went home lives up Near Edmonton.  

 

But we are in a car area, My first one! whoop, But we have  been walking a lot to try and get to know the area.  

 

So i am in a group right now, of about 12-13 members.  

We have a  group leader, brother odebenu from Nigeria so it's cool.

We basically do everything! 

 

So We are really trying to work with the members we have. we are actually the only missionaries up in Grenville.  so its alright. 

 

Love the area but we didn't have very much to go on when we got here so we actually have to find a lot. but we have met some really cool people.  

 

Church is actually upstairs of our apartment so once again we are the crazy pastors who live underneath the church. ;) 

 

But remember how i was talking about carnival and Celebration 2015 in st vincent. Well they both happen again for me while i am here. we actually had another celebration on friday past and the carnival parties are just starting up . so its hard to find the old investigators. 

 

ITs awesome here tho. i got really burnt because i am not used to being out of the main town where i can hide from the sun in the shadows haha. But Grenadian life is fun. we have to travel so much down to St.georges. on monday, tuesday,and the first sunday of the month and we also had to come down for the celebration.

so much has happened and i feel like its been months since i have emailed haha. but i love the mission.
