This week was an alright week!
we had some transfers and i had to do some driving missionaries to georgetown to get planes! but hey thats alright haha. its tough not being able to work so hard as you want to but.
All will be well! we are excited to see how the week goes and really push for a lot of member lessons!
This week we started helping a family renovate their shop into a house to rent! so we are hoping that we cant rent there haha. they are the nicest people.
Honestly we have been fed by them every single day since wednesday and we probably will get fed again today. They are so nice and are making this appartment legit!
One of the investigators we used to teach told us that its not confirmed but its suspected they they are drug lords too... but i dont think its true!
if it is they are sophisticated mafia people and they will protect us very well. But we have gotten to do a lot of demolition of wood walls and concrete Ledges and ting! its been great!
so we are doing well. We have had a couple disapointments this week. This one made me super sad; on saturday we passed "ZR" and i guess she just up and left after they had an argument so she is nowhere to be found and he was just wasted. He had been Drinking clear from friday night till saturday at 2 when we met him. really sad. He was vexed .
We went by on sunday morning because in his drunked state he pleaded with us to come by in the morning and travel with him to church but his head hurt too much so he didnt come.
We are seeing him tonight! But boy i dont think i have liked a family so bad as i do them and it kills me to see alcohol and small disagreements and upset parents just tearing them apart..
I think i have learned a lot of what not to do when i am married from my mission for sure. and a lot of what to do i see come from my parents!
But something good that happened was a young woman named "JL". She is one of the most comprehensive people i have ever taught. Like when we talk about somthing she actually understands fully what it means and well just expresses her opinions and actually learns. For example when we taught he about the priesthood and the restoration she said she didnt want to pray because she knew she would have to act if God told her it was true. Most people will just say yes they will pray and then never pray at all. she was honest and after talking about how christ is coming just now she agreed to pray about it ! she just is cool! will make a great member to the church!
I always enjoy hearing about what thing are like back home .
But that is crazy to hear all about how normal missionaries are back home. I often ponder on if people see the same way as i saw missionaries back home. I really hope that for some people i am an Elder Dumke. Do you remember him! he was the greatest! one of my favourite missionaries or the one i remember the most who made the most impact on me!
being a missionary is wonderful! i definitly love it!
But i gotta go!
Love ya tons
Love Elder Pierson
