Crazy Week

This week has been sooo crazy! we have been able to get little to no work done in our area.. well at least i was.
i think i taught a grand total of 3 or 4 lessons in my area this week! :0
crazy stuff happened and a missionary had to be sent to trinidad. and since we are the zone leaders and have a car we had to drive him down to georgetown at 6:30 or 7 in the evening so he could catch a flight in the morning! now its a 1 1/2 hour or 2 hour drive  (depending on if you drive the speed limit. so we got back home by about 10:30 in the night. anyways all the crazyness happened on our workdays (we were splitting days between canje and new amsterdam area) but now that we were another missionary short we fixed the missing temp problem so now we are finally back to work in our area!

The reason i lost so much time in my area was also because I went so skeldon on saturday and then drove from rose hall again there on sunday to attend church.
so when i got to church i got to give an impromptu talk. so i decided to speak on scripture study and i thought it was good. it was a lot of fun!!
But im excited all the crazyness has slowed down. im exhausted haha. but its all good!

This week has been crazy but i would say from it i learned very strongly that God Does answer prayers! and Grants unto us our Righteous Desires!

oh i also went cast net fishing this week haha it was fun!and sorry i forgot my camera so i will do the photos next week!! :) Sorry!

Anyways i love you a lot!

More About Guyana

First off i want to start by telling you about the most prepared person i think i have ever met! his name is "DL".
"DL" is a strong christian, he was an investigator Elder Jacobson left behind for us! now  "DL" is outrageously intelligent.
He is a math teacher at a secondary school, and he is going through lots of years  of university so his pay raises.
but he is great! we see him every other day at 8 at night and he has recently made great strides! he has come to church 3 times now! once before us and twice since!
he was baptized in another faith so that was a problem at first but he recently pieced it all together that if this church is true then no other church has authority.
now i was slightly nervous when he pieced that fully together! when we were teaching about baptism he just asked "so in Gods eyes my first baptism didnt count."
It was quiet for a second because no one wants to tell someone who is serving the Lord to the best of their ability that their baptism didnt count.
Then elder christensen felt impressed to pull a president Mehr. . . Just asked him what he thinks.    And he responded that his first didnt count and he wants to be baptized in this church!
he is awesome!!! so is his younger sister! they will both most likely get baptized on the 7th!    anyways thats awesome!

we had a few investigators at church but so many people didnt come because it rained pretty heavy before church, and during the start!
But all was well!

As for group P-days, we had an all Guyana activity today! thats why i am emailing later!
we went down to georgetown. (i woke up at 4 for this) and played basketball and football!

Also something cool is there was a missionary that came from jamaica, and he would teach with Elder Zeck and Elder Koegler.  he brought some canadian flags for me and denver from those two. he isnt in Guyana but he sent it with another Elder who came to Guyana! there is a picture on dropbox if it all uploads in time.

Today was alot of fun! i really enjoyed it!

And oh yes Monkeys are pretty common pets i think!    Elder Brown Got given a Monkey in Bushlot, but we cant have pets so he gave it to a member over there!

Im not sure if i told you how big my area is, but its big, if you look on google maps and look for port morant on the east end of the country . my are a  goes from about 30-40 kms before that to suriname, and then down to brazil! sooo my area is huge!

The weather here in guyana is pretty similar to the islands, other than there is not as many  cool breezes, i think its average of 30's most every day!

Baptisms actually we have a little movable tub thing here. the ocean is really dirty here, so if you do a baptism in the ocean you will wade out in mud up to your knees till you reach water, and then its really dirty water..

some people are baptized in trenches.. Google Guyanese trenches.. haha

everything is really Fun here! the work is fast!

It is sad to hear about Sister Lowry. ITs amazing however to hear of the faith of her family! i take great joy and great satisfaction in the knowledge we have of  Gods Plan and for the power to bind on earth and in heaven! its really makes things much easier to bear! I am amazed every time when i hear of such faith!

But i love you so much!
I know the Gospel is true and i will continue to serve The Lord Faithfully out here!

Love you much!
