Last Transfer

Yes all is very well for me!

i am going to new amsterdam to finish off a missionaries training! so my daughter gets to kill two missionaries for his first two transfers!! haha sad.

But yeah i am going to miss canje bad!!
When sunday came around, only two families knew. The bahadurs and the moses, the branch president! so sunday i got to speak and i spoke of the importance of keeping the commandments and also sacrament IT was good. when president moses announced i was getting transfered, like half of the congregation turned around in surprisse! it was kinda funny haha
But i will miss people plenty here

Jamacie is cool! Reminds me of lindsey and christie sometimes!!  kinda cool! the whole bahadur family is just amazing!
I love them all!

and yeah i am finishing a missionaries training! Elder Cook is my new companion! and Elder day is staying with an elder Horsely! so i am no longer a zone leader! :) no more doing reports! yay :) now i gotta focus on training this new one right! :)
Yay twelve week training program!

We havent seen "OJ" back sadly! and he didn't come to church! something must be wrong! we will figure it our tomorrow night!

And oh we recently got in contact with a referral named the "IN" family! and boy are they awesome! a family from new amsterdam gave them to us and ahh they are cool i am sad i don't get to teach them all the way their baptisms!!!

Oh for my homecoming talk you should find out if i can pick my topic! i kinda want to speak on the importance of a cheerful or good attitude! :)

ANd now we no longer work in rosignol! there is elder patatefa going there! ( he is in my group)
so it should be great working around him!!!
ANd she will probably get a new one when he goes and meets them back!!

I am going to a new apartment so i no longer need to worry about prepaid current! but the black outs have still been happening! at least two to three a week!
yay!
But all is well in guyana! no problems for me!

I love Guyana! i never want to leave! so all yall better come here to live cause i need my family ! :)

Love You tons!

Object Lessons

Let me see what wonderful tales i can spin for you today..

Well i have not seen  investi- gator " , but i did however see a dead gator on the side of the road! it had its tail cut off and i saw aguy chopping its head with a cutlass! :)

Also another anaconda was caught near our house by the drunk people and they spent the next 30 mins looking for us so they could sell it to us haha i guess thats what happens when you are willing to pay 2 times how much they would usually sell it for  the last time!

But aside from that!

WE had no investigators come in canje but it rained an unreasonable amout on sunday morning!  which was interesting because we had the most attendance of all in berbice with a pretty high 50

we had a few in rosignol i believe. but we have a baptism this Saturday in rosignol ! so hope things will pick up there again.

Transfer is coming close to and end and i am nervous they might move me out of canje cause president told us there is a good chance both zone leaders here will be split and training next transfer... SO i have been here forever! who knows!

We met some really cool new people to teach! we actrually got 12 new investigators! so it is awesome!

We are working hard  and i havent done anything too ridiculous this week... Oh wait kind of have ...  me and elder day have been tying up members with rope as part of an object lesson and playing the flour game on occasional fhe's and playing with corn starch and water with a lot of people to teach about faith and works! it has been great!

IT is a lot of fun in this branch i am excited to bring yall here to show you everyone !

Love you tons tho!

New Companion

This week was an interesting week. for the whole week we barely got to work in our area! we actually had to do some driving for transfers which usually kills the whole day after district meeting!  but it was still good! after that we went on two tradeoffs trying to help accomodate for the missionaries waiting for their new companions!

So this week was kinda mash up. we are still trying to get going again! but its all going well! we basically have our whole week set up and ready to go!
We had no investigators at church but we had a good number come out  even tho sunday was rainstorm central! im glad we have a cyar!

But it has been good to be here with elder day! i am enjoying it so far! we are almost moved into our new apartment! it just needs approved and us to go in!

So all is well here in Guyana! i am excited to hear more about the stamps success ;)

gotta go!

Demon Gator

haha mother mother its not the snakes you should be worried about for me! this past week we had no such car because we lent it away! but anyways ( this is more important than my transfer call.) we were taking a short cut to a Members house and keep in mind its the rainy season, (may/june) and we get to a sport where there is just like a little river there that wasn't there the first time i took the short cut. So i couldn't go around for that would take 30 mins walking and we were already late. . . so we took off our shoes and rolled up our pant legs and walked through the nasty water. anyways before we did this we heard a splash and some alligator noises so we thought hey there's a caman in there. no problem anyways we get through and the people living there are gaffing with us and we tell them there was an alligator back there. and the guy says yeah we know he is about 6-7 feet long . haha sooooooo i still have all my toes.. oh and by the way the man says the gator is a demon cause of a satan church near by and no one can catch it. but he is nice. like he will walk that same track at 2 am and see the gator on the side and tell him " hey i'm coming though" and the gator lets him! but fun story from elder Pierson! :)

So now what you really wanted to know! i am actually staying in canje ! Elder ort will be heading to suriname. his visa finally came through! but i will be serving with Elder Day for the next 8 weeks and then i have no clue because Elder day and me go home at the same time and usually They dont like to blank zone leaders!
So it will be interesting! but this will make 6 months in canje! so that is pretty cool!

so the picture with all them pickney and youts. we actually met that family maybe on Friday and they came on Sunday! so they are really cool! we are really focusing on 2 people, the aunt and the mother! but all the kids coming was an added blessing! except for they were rowdy as what! but hey its all good!

This week was awesome tho! we got fed so much! people saying bye  to Elder ort and also for fathers day! it was crazy!
I love the people here! i will definitely come back to see them!

Guyana Elections

Well just so you know i am alright for sure!
Elections were on monday and they didnt know who won until the friday after i believe!
and even then there are a lot of accusations of cheating . things such as fake ballots being found and a couple ballot boxes found floating in the river!  But all has been decided. and the Government has changed. So that could mean we get a lot more missionaries! talking to denson he said they should apply for 200 more missionaries just now. (200 so when they say no to that they will go for 100) haha But good thing is that the church Lawyer just got put in as the Attorney general or the minister of home affairs so they should pass for more missionaries in just a few months and then its up to the church to try and get as many as they can in the country! haha so we should have more at least 4 or somthing like that before i leave! :)

But hey that is all predictions !
A  lot of people are vexed about the results. But hey they dont riot! so thats good!

But speaking of flowers i have been helping a lady named "BB" a lot in her garden and washing her house and ting! so i can  help out a lot when i get home!
I plan on being better at being helpful. A couple in our branch got married in febuary and the guy refuses to help clean or anything and cause of her always asking for help he wants a divorce .. already.. I do not intend to be that guy! so im going to be more helpful.

but anyways thing are great in guyana! its going to take a while to get settled and for things to happen but it will be well!

I heard from  a Man who is visiting Guyana From Toronto that alberta is in a bust or somthing like that. He said Everyone is selling and the housing market is crashing? is that true?

but let me see about all the wonderful things i can tell you about! well!
We got fed three times yesterday! :)
Umm WE have found even more new investigators!
we contacted a lady who had been taught previously and believed alot.. But also believes everything. Its really tought to teach  hindu's Because they really believe Anything! like Most often you will tell them about the BOFM and they will believe it  and some read it. But also believe in the guita and read that too! haha its tough. i feel bad telling them that if you believe that jesus is the saviour than all your other Gods are false.. its interesting!

But as for transfers i am staying with Elder Ort for another 5 weeks! His visa for suriname is not coming through at all!

So all will be well! Its going to be a good transfer!

Right now i am the only Zone leader because Elder Day went home to get some illness checked. But he should be back before the week is up!

But i am having fun here in Guyana!

ii am sitting in air conditioning right now and my hands are freezing! im almost shivering ! its cooling the place to 23 degrees ... haha

anyways!
Love ya!

New Companion, New Area, New Responsibilities

so this weeek has been an interesting week!

Let me start with the Good! So "TS" never ceases to amaze! he came to church today even tho it  was another conference all the way over in canje! 1:10 min drive!
but best about him was last time we went to see him we brought a young man named "KB". and "KB" is back and ready to serve. now together they decided to go every day or everyother day after 4 in the evening searching for the less actives and teach them the gospel again so that they can come back into the fold and become strong and righteous! so they know the role that the members play in the preaching of the gospel!

Anyways sad news was that on our way back to do "DL"s interview we recieved a text saying he wanted to push his date back again! so sad! but we are going to keep working with him!
so he wasnt baptised saturday gone like we thought.

Another piece of good news is i will finally get a car!
sad news after one transfer in rose hall i am being moved! I am leaving Rose hall and going to the Canje area to be a Zone Leader. its interesting leaving! i feel like i got to know these people so well but yet i feel like a was barely here!

Now once again good news! Elder Aukusitino is coming to replace me! MY first son in the wilderness is coming home!! :)
Wll rose hall is doing well tho !

WE recently startyed working with a whole ton of Part member families and they are really cool! i cannot wait to hear of the success that elder christensen and elder aukusitino have!

But yeah my new companion is Elder Fauchier!
And yeah its a safe area i am only sad because we got new bikes here saturday gone and now i wont get to use it :( haha

Whooo!  haha i got trained on how to help people gain their self reliance! ie: start their own buisness! so you could say i am now a buisness teacher!

Oh fun fact i havent been telling about for some reason! (i forgot) we have been teaching a reading class twice a week and people are learning to read by our hands! so its amazing

Ahh so much is hapening! im in a kind of car area and everything is happening so fast!
ITs amazing that all of this is just a speck of a speck to God and to our eternal timeline!
Thats is somthing that has always boggled my mind!
WE had eons and eons of time in the pre earth life to prepare for this one game of like 70-100 years and then we have forever to reap the rewards of how well we played! makes me think of the larry gelwix quote! "no regrets"

ANyways all is going good for me!

Anywho i love you a lot

Transfers to Guyana

We were at Hog Island This morning!
it was a really wonderful P-Day activity!
i really love liming at the beach whenever i get an opportunity to.. we are definitly Going to hog island When we come to see Grenada!

but as for the Beaches i will no longer be able to Adore them.
They dont have any beaches in Guyana
So i guess ill have to Lime by the Stinky Rum Factory in Berbice.
So yeah i am gettting moved to an area called Rose hall in Berbice Guyana.
i leave early wednesday morning 6 am and get to Guyana at 2:30 carribean standard time (really most likely 4 or 5 haha) but yeah i am going to be sad to leave here!

i was thinking its going to be unfortunate to leave such wonderful people and alot who were preparing for baptism! we have one planned for saturday coming!
But i will wait for a picture from Elder Padilla.

My new Companion is an Elder from wyoming named Elder Christianson. all i really know about him so far is that he is from the french side, just finished being a zone leader and he can Curl 200 pounds, oh and can bench 500 :0
so we will be in guyana together and president said he will show me how to be District leader. so i am excited to work with him.

Elder LEany told me that after the ap's came to visit and elder ferrin came with us he came back to get dropped off by the zone leader he told elder leany "Elder Pierson is a great missionary"
i really enjoy Elder Ferrins company!

But all was well this week!,
Coolest experiance actually happened not to long ago. we went to teach this one lady we taught once when we contacted her..
oh a little background. we have been working on whats called a contract lesson, where you find out there concern and then commit them to baptism is through this gospel their concern is cured.. but we found her concern last time and it was "i Am really just looking for the right church for me to join."
we taught her the Gospel and left a restoration tract when we first visited. When we came back she had read the restoration tract with her boyfriend and she prayed about it.
She told us of a vision where she kept trying to leave church to go to a party and she couldnt find her way to the party. but the church kept being there.
Her old path was suddenly Gone.
But she woke up and talked with her boyfriend and when we talked with her she had come to the conclusion that the dream was from God to tell her this church is the true church! and she wants to join it. So she will start coming to church this sunday coming and get baptized once she gets married! Anyways that was most likely the Highlight!

OH And if you remember  ME talking about Elder Jacobson.. The Friendly Giant. He is Elder Padilla's mother! o they are going to work miracles  here!

Anyways i am happy all is well! Love you much!

Denver is serving in trinidad! (Elder Ferrin Told me ) Shh ;) haha
anyways Love you

Staying in Grenada

So this week was a really good week!

we had a lot of cool things happen!

actually first off let me tell you that i am staying in grenville again with Elder Padilla! at least one more transfer i will be here! then who knows! but we have some really awesome baptismal dates set for the Month! we have a lot of cool people we are working with! So its nice to be able to stick around to see them get baptized.

This year this mission has set a goal of 600 baptisms for the year. usually we would get about 40 or 50 a month but the last two months we only got 20 or 30.. so we are way behind! this month we need just around 90 baptisms mission wide! this has kind of lit a fire under all of us! we are working harder than ever to reach that inspired goal!

And so far grenada is preforming very well! President Mehr actually reffered to the grenadian missionaries as "the Dream Team" So we are not going to let him down! and as we work for and expect miracles the lord is providing! we have found the land of milk and honey! (many baptisms) a place called la fillette. we have met o lot of amazing people. Who we will go and teach just now! we have a bit of a short week coming as we are actually going to Barbados for Friday and Saturday for a zone conference!

So its going to be awesome! me and Elder Padilla are working really well! we have been fine tuning our teaching finding out what works best ! and its going really well!
Sifting a lot of people to see who are prepared celestial beings!

So many fun Things
Absolutly no one from Grenada is getting moved this transfer! so we are working well!

we have more baptismal dates in the children of "GN". She actually asked how old someone had to be to get baptized and both her children are 9 or 11 soooo they both want to be baptized as well! it is going to be awesome!.

so sunday at church was rally cool as well!
We had 21 people there! we are almost too big for our building! actually if we wouldnt have put two chairs to the front for the Group leader we wouldnt have fit. Not to mention one usual family of 3 went to st georges this sunday. we almost didnt fit! so we are currently searching for a bigger building! :)

Gotta Love Progress!
God is active so much here in the west indies! i am so blessed to be a part of the growth he is blessing this land with!

Keep being awesome!

Anyways!
Love you much!

No Hurricanes Here

Things in grenada are going well! We have had no hurricane damage, no hurricane at all for that matter. it must have passed high.
I must say of all weather phenomena i miss the snow the most. but hey just now right!

church in Grenville was interesting.. our Group leader was in the process of moving to gouyave so i think since he told the branch president he thought he was released or something.. .
soooo he didnt assign talks and he wasnt there this sunday. apparently losing a family of 4 people really cuts down your numbers as well. soo Elder leany conducted and we both gave talks again this week. I spoke on tithing. i think i had 30 mins to prepare and i had maybe 7 bullet points and 3 quotes and somehow i made it last for 20 minutes. :) so It was an interesting sunday. we had about 12 people at church.
so now we have lots of room for people to sit! "KA" didnt come and neither did "GA" but we are working on it. We have a couple Families we are working with so The attendace should go up soon.

There is actually one really cool experiance i would like to share with you.
We had a referral from our branch mission leader Rodger. this ladys name is "EN". We went and we visited her and she seemed pretty interested, we taught her and her boyfriend and they felt the spirit. Now we scheduled to see them again but she got sick and they cancelled. so we called again a week later and got a meeting with "EN". Now when we went there she showed us all the research she had been doing, She found Mormon.Org and found answers to her questions. She Now feels Godly sorrow for Breaking the law of Chastity and really wants to get her life in line with the will of God. Her Boyfriend supports her and also agreed to be baptized. They have 4-5 children together and also have a Bus. They are fixing a part that broke about 2 weeks back, but once its fixed she says the whole family will come to church. She now wants to get married more than ever and we get to go back tonight to see how things in that was are shaping up. It was a great success i have seen this week.

OHh by the way in other news i did get my full transfer call and i am actually training again! his name is Elder Padilla and he is from The Philippines. So it is awesome!

Thanks for all the support you give me! and also thank you for the package. The hair clippers were sorely needed. They dont know how to cut "White People Hair" in the west indies so he messed up my head pretty bad haha.

Love you much

September 8

So its interesting that you bring up your sunday playlist! i was actually just recently thinking about how i miss waking up in the morning and coming upstairs to that! the thought came when i found a cd that a past missionary left behind. "elder wilsons p-day jams"  it had a lot of the songs from your playlist so it was nice. but we also had the music restriction changed again, so now the rule is only Reverent hymns. So its all apostate now haha.. but i can wait till home!

But this week is good! its interesting how you always know right when i get my transfer call :)  but the call was good. i am staying on Grenada in Grenville with Elder Leany. Cool thing about the transfer call is... Elder bingham is coming to Grenada haha see i knew president mehr would realize he made a mistake is separating us! ;)
But this sunday was really good! Every fast Sunday we go to St Georges to the branch to meet, and two of our members got interviews to receive the Melchizedek priesthood. Plus it was weird to be back in a big group. there was between 160 and 200 people there! mainly because school started and all the medical students moved into the branch!  so it was big awesome and they are really pushing to get the home teaching going! people are actually really excited to start on this! its going to be awesome! many great things are going for the work!

we have an awesome investigator named "MH", she came all the way to st georges  with us for church so she is dedicated. she is trying really hard to find a place so she can move out of her boyfriends house. The members in grenville are really trying to help and hook her up for a time. but she is cool! i showed her the nice ocean spot where they baptize in grand anse and she wants to be baptized there! so all is well and good!
We have a few more people we are working with but a lot of our work is coming as we find those whom the lord has prepared! they are out there we just have to find them!

anyways this is going to be another good transfer! i get to burn a shirt this transfer too! :0 Crazy!

But i love you!
enjoy your week!

Transfers to a new Island

Well St vincent is Hot as always! Plenty sweating gets done here haha.

But its weird, being completly honest with you when i got transfered to st vincent i was kinda sad, i thought it was too close and to much alike to St.Lucia. But Looking back i think of first all the fun times me and elder regis had, and then how much i have come to love this area. One song has been going through my mind, It says "you dont know what you've got till its gone" so i might have just given it away.    i am getting transferred off of St. Vincent. But i always thought i was that  quiet missionary that nobody really noticed.    But the branch is amazing, i got a special recognition for my service here from the branch presidency.    And plenty people told me how much they are going to miss me. One member specifically, she has been a member for 2 years and she had only cried when the missionary who baptised her left. but she is crying now.    But St vincent is awesome , we are definitely coming back here when we come to visit my mission.
Well My new area and my new companion is... *Drumroll Please* Grenville, Grenada. with Elder Leany. (he is actually my zone leader right now.) we are blanking the area.
So that will be a ton of fun. I fly out tomorrow at 5 (most likely 7, liat is always late). we have already started to make plans for this new area. :)

But as for "G", she did indeed get baptised! she is so awesome. she was so happy to be officially recorded in the church records as a member.

But there have been plenty interesting events that i have seen, as we work hard and set high goals (like 3 baptisms for next transfer) the lord is preparing those who will be ready to recieve this gospel and placing them in our paths.
Also i saw my first Rasta Church meeting. IT was weird, All i saw was a bunch of people dressed in robes loud music coming from this house, and smoke pouring our the front door haha. Sooo yeah it was interesting!

We desperatly need sr couples here in the West indies, sooooo if you guys wanna come ;) haha

Thanks for your prayers and support! i love you so much!!

The Priesthood Power is amazing

This week has been an interesting week, I am feeling very good now and i dont even remember being sick. :)

But things with missionary work has started to get a little slower. Most people we teach who decide they want to be baptized always say "After Carnival" sooo its tough. plus all the activities are really starting to pick up especially the kids activities. so all the parents and families we are trying to work with are being good parents and spending time with their kids at these parties. haha so i cant really complain they are following the proclamation to the world "the Family" and spending time together . But its going well. I actually have no idea what i ate or maybe what got to my hands before i ate, but it didnt seem to effect Elder Aukusitino. He was perfectly fine, probably just bored out of his mind reading while i slept :).

But as for awesome things is we started teaching this Girl named N, and she is really cool. After we taught her about the restoration she was very intrigued, She took notes the whole time we were teaching. She is also very open with her questions and very honest as to what she understands. We taught her about the book of Mormon last night actually and she committed to read it.

Other than that a highlight was the fact they me and Elder Aukusitino Caught a bat the other night.. Well ok Elder Aukusitino did all the catching, but I was a faithful light holder and broomstick retriever haha A sister said she had some bats in her roof . so me and elder Aukusitnio went to investigate. And yeah we caught em.

Anyways as for transfers i actually am staying with my son! i get to train him for another transfer. so it should be a fun transfer. He is pretty cool, still working on the language tho!
Elder Brown my old district leader is leaving the Island Heading for the homeland. good old St Lucia!. So that will be cool, we will see him again on friday and "satday" (as the vincy would call it)
But once again me and Elder bingham. Never getting seperated! Speaking of elder bingham! he gave me a blessing while i was sick and it was quite amazing actually. After the blessing my body went from dead and i hate life, to i felt perfectly fine! it was amazing. From that point on i Felt much better! Priesthood!

Oh and other cool thing i found out while on a trade off. There was this little girl.
Ok this story is cool.
This little girl is sooo sick and in pain, Her mother is a longtime member in the branch. But she is like 5 or 6 and she had a hernia in her stomach and she needed surgery. but they couldn't get her in until the end of the month. So her mom knew that waiting that long wasnt possible. Anyways she called the second councillor in the branch presidency for a blessing for her daughter, but he was far away and couldnt come. so He called us and had us come over. And we gave her daughter a blessing. But this was on a friday i think. but we gave her a blessing, and i felt inspired that he pain wouldnt dissapear at the time of the blessing but that she would be able to handle it and she would over time be healed. anyways we blessed her,She had the best sleep of her life said her mom, but in the morning it came back she was screaming and crying and unbearably in pain. and i hadnt  heard past then. i continued to pray for this little girl because it was so terrible that someone that small should have to go through somthing that bad, especially until the end of the month. but i didnt know more Until i went on a trade off with elder Leany. And while talking to Sister Gordon (the Mother) we found out that after that morning it came back; The pain hasent come back. and when they went to the hospital to have it checked out, they could find nothing. There was no evidence anything had ever been wrong with her stomach and she is back to being a happy little girl!

So the Priesthood is amazing and prayer and faith and God. All Amazing.

Anyways it has been an interesting week and I'm loving it so much!
It's cool to hear about all the things from home. I always just think how fast time goes thinking back to Elder Dumke sitting in the festiva till me now being on a mission, and all the young boys I see now, soon I'm going to be just a memory of a missionary they had when they are serving! ive been thinking about this and it kinda blows my mind haha.

Anyways I love hearing all the things from home!
Anways love you so much!
Have an amazing week and we are working hard in this mission. side note as a mission we have about 260 baptisms so far this year : )  whoo!

Love you much

Staying in St Vincent

Its great to hear about the Wedding! The Pictures look amazing! The Church looked so cool! Especially all The Painted Furniture!

Oh so this Transfer! Ready for my Transfer call? Here it is! Elder Pierson is Staying in St.Vincent II and is training a Polynesian Named Elder Aukusitinio. So this will be a fun transfer i do believe! You should tell brad he should remind me what all the poly words i know mean  again so i do not terribly offend my new companion haha.

Anyways This week was a pretty good week! we have been working pretty hard! and getting things done. "K" is doing really well! There are actually a lot of yw activities every now and then and i guess she goes to all! So she has been making lots of friends here and loves the Gospel!
We actually went over to her house yesterday to find that she wasn't there! she was up visiting a member, so we talked just a bit with her family. We brought her a picture of a temple so that she could always remember what her final goal is. but fun event of yesterday was that while visiting with the family and dropping off the picture we found out that they were trying to get some coconut out of the tree and no one could get it, So me your monkey of a son had a chance to do some service and climb 2 trees and get the family coconuts. so that was fun!

Anyways Other than that the other cool Things that happened was meeting someone that the Birds the sr couple contacted!

"ST" was her name. She was really nice and pretty excited to meet with us . She loves to sing and is actually a really good singer. We showed her some Motab on her phone and she just kept listening to song after song! We actually werent the first missionaries that went to visit this family, about 2 years ago they were getting visits. But she has a family of 9 i believe and she is very religious. Cool Thing is sometimes i feel like all The efforts i have done in the past turn to not much or just left a seed planted with people. but i never really think about what will happen some years down the road what will happen. But now i am seeing first hand a seed that was planted and is now ready or almost ready for be harvested!
Its amazing how sometimes people just need to hear the gospel once and then have some time!

Anyways, I love you!
